One who accepts the post of spiritual master

Image
"As for your next question, can only a few pure devotees deliver others, anyone, if he is a pure devotee he can deliver others, he can become spiritual master. But unless he on that platform he should not attempt it. Then both of them will to go to hell, like blind men leading the blind." (72-12-14. Letter: Tusta Krsna)

I promise you

"It is a basic principle that one must accept a bona fide spiritual master in order to achieve the highest perfection of life, love of God. I thank all of you very much for accepting me as your spiritual master, and I promise that I will take you back to home, back to Godhead. I ask you all to promise me to always chant at least 16 rounds, follow the regulative principles, read our books and try to preach this Krishna Consciousness Movement all over the world."  (Letter to Nityananda -- Delhi 12 November, 1971)

Good things do not come so easily

“Good things do not come so easily; you know the difficulties that I encountered in my first year in your country. Sometimes I did not even know where I was to live, neither when I - came did I have any friends. But I was always determined that somehow I would do everything possible to fulfill the desire of my Guru Maharaja, and despite all difficulties I always remained enthusiastic.” (Srila Prabhupada’s letter –Bombay, 72-01-05)

He is present in his teachings

"Yes, the spiritual master is also present in his picture, though more importantly he is present in his teachings." (Srila Prabhupada's letter to: Sukadeva 2—Calcutta 29 January, 1973)

And in the end you will see

"Please always try to remember me by my teachings and we shall always be together. Just like I have written in the first publications of Srimad-Bhagavatam, "The spiritual Master lives forever by His divine instruction and the disciple lives with him.'', because I have always served my Guru Maharaja and followed His teachings I am now even never separated from Him. Sometimes Maya may come and try to interfere but we must not falter, we must always follow the chalked out path layed down by the great acharya's and in the end you will see." (Srila Prabhupada’s letter to: Cidananda—Bhaktivedanta Manor 73-11-25)
